Rodwell-Powell was originally known as FL Powell Ltd a company formed in 1975 as a wholly owned subsidiary of John Rodwell Ltd. It was formed to continue and expand the work previously carried out by Hirst Crisp and Brookside Engineering. Subsequently John Rodwell Ltd became Rodwell Engineering Group Ltd and FL Powell Ltd became Rodwell-Powell.
Rodwell-Powell provide customers with a comprehensive precision manufacturing service based on a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained over 30 years of working closely with the aerospace and defence industries. We have an established reputation for solving machining problems associated with very hard and exotic materials related mainly to aviation, aerospace and scientific applications. We provide a subcontract machining service including turning, milling and grinding.
Rodwell-Powell is also a test laboratory and calibration house providing a comprehensive range of inspection, calibration and non-destructive testing facilities on a 24 hour contract basis. Customers for machined components and assemblies also benefit from our extensive on-site testing facilities.
These facilities are used for inspection of both mechanical and electrical components, particularly prototypes mouldings in both metal and plastic. Many household familiar companies rely on Rodwell-Powell for our exceptional level of experience in developing the design tooling and production methods for their new products.
In addition to Rodwell-Powell, Rodwell Engineering Group Ltd includes Rodwell Scientific Instruments, designers and manufacturers of Autoclaves for the scientific and medical industries, Rodwell-HTB, designers and manufacturers of media handling equipment for the print industry and Rodwell-Bayne who design, supply and install air compressor and air conditioning systems.
